· Undertook training under the renowned Madakulam Ravi Aasan from 1983-1988 for Silambam, Adi Thadai, Kuthu Varisai, derivatives of Silambam and other forms

· Teaching Cine Stunt, Gymnastics and Martial Arts since 1985. Has taught more than 5000 people of varied age groups over the last 35 years

· Has trained a number of top film actors and actresses in Martial Arts and Cine Stunt. Some of the artists include Satyaraj, Surya, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Arya, Samuthrakani, Shantanu, Pooja, Dhanshikaa, Namitha and others

· Was invited and participated as a Chief Guest at the 3rd World Silambam Championship held at Johor, Malaysia in February 2015

· Organized the National Silambam Tournament in 2010 at Chennai

· Won the award for Contribution to Tamil Cinema, Vijay Awards during his tenure with Film Employees Federation of South India.

· Won the Lifetime Achievement Award by Lions Club for his contributions to Silambam martial art.

· 40 athletes under his training participated and won medals at the National Silambam Championship held at Chennai in 2007 & 2017.

· 3 athletes under his training participated and won medals at the Asian Championship held at Kanyakumari in 2009 and Colombo,Srilanka in 2018.

· 2 athletes under his training participated and won 15 medals at the World Silambam Championship held at Malaysia in 2015

· Takes free classes in cine stunt and martial arts training for economically backward children and adults. 

· Presently teaches Sports Silambam at the YMCA College of Physical Education & Metro Park, Nandanam.

· Has conducted training classes for numerous Police Academies, International Schools, Colleges and Corporates in Chennai.

· State level Kho-Kho player (1979-80)

· Traditional Martial Arts Silambam Research and Development Trust Founder and Managing trustee.
